Title:ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF HARD LABOR IN THE FIELD OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND SECURITY
Abstract:Knowing the influence of environmental factors plays an important role while performing heavy work under extreme conditions since work preparation means danger management. It is also important to be appropriately prepared in advance to be able to accomplish the planned task uninjured and to react correctly when extreme conditions occur. Accidents are often caused by human due to lack of knowledge, lack of physical condition and sometimes because people underestimate their abilities or they are not protected properly. The employees as well as the superiors should be aware of the fact that acclimatization, well planned work procedure and good physical condition are of the utmost importance. Physically fit workers are able to work easier in without great effort. While working, workers must be given rest breaks to drink enough liquid and prevent dehydration. Working in cold conditions is, compared to working in hot conditions, less risky, because we can dress in layers. However, this means that we aren't so skilful. The injury risk is greater for exposed parts of the body, hands and parts of the face. The pace of working is also important since the body warms up while working. People react differently to heat and cold as well as to the tolerance of altitude. Working at high altitude requires good physical condition. Mountain sickness is the most common illnesses caused by high altitude. Fluid loss through breathing is increased and causes dehydration. Every person who works in extreme environments must be physically and mentally well prepared, drink enough liquid while working and eat properly. Workers must keep fit, that's the only way to avoid accidents and perform their work well.
