Opis: | Motivation is the driving force that makes individuals do or create something, regardless of the fact if it is conditioned by internal or external factors. Managers have to know their employees, their wishes and needs since only through such understanding will they be able to motivate them enough and thus achieve the desired enthusiasm, creativity and productivity throughout the workforce. Executives have to realize that a company’s greatest assets are its employees.
In the first part of the dissertation the theoretical framework of motivation is presented. More specifically the basic interpretations of motivation, motivational theories and the factors affecting motivation. Following this is the analysis section, where the most important findings of the survey based on an actual company case, are presented.
Company executives have to bear in mind, that material factors are not the only ones driving employee motivation, but immaterial factors such as praise, working conditions, interpersonal relations are just as important. Because people are individuals, each with their own goals and wishes, it is important to adjust motivation for employees individually. If a company wants to retain its top professionals, it can do it only through the use of both methods of motivation, material and immaterial. |
