Title:OBČUTEK USPOSOBLJENOSTI PRI ŠTUDENTIH IN ZAPOSLENIH V ZDRAVSTVENI NEGI

Abstract:Namen. Opisati občutke usposobljenosti rednih študentov I. stopenjskega dodiplomskega študijskega programa zdravstvene nege in diplomiranih medicinskih sester oz. diplomiranih zdravstvenikov. Samoocena usposobljenosti diplomirane medicinske sestre oz. diplomiranega zdravstvenika ima bistveni pomen pri zagotavljanju visokega standarda zdravstvene nege. Ta vpliva in jim je v pomoč pri ohranjanju in izboljševanju delovnih spretnosti ter pri identificiranju njihovih prednosti in slabosti. Raziskovalna metodologija. Za opis vzorca raziskava temelji na kvantitativni metodologiji raziskovanja oz. deskriptivnih statističnih metodah (povprečje, standardna deviacija, mediana, modus, min., max. …). Pri opredelitvi hipotez (statistično pomembnih razlik) smo v primeru možnosti uporabe parametričnih metod uporabili MANOVA analizo. Pridobljene podatke smo statistično analizirali s statističnim programom SPSS za Windows, verzija 13.0 ter Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Vrednosti p < 0,05 so veljale za statistično pomembne. Raziskovalni vzorec je zajemal 120 študentov tretjega letnika dveh visokošolskih ustanov, ki izvajajo študijski program Zdravstvene nege I. stopnje. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih skupaj 83 diplomiranih medicinskih sester oz. diplomiranih zdravstvenikov. Skupaj 37 iz dveh ljubljanskih klinik in 46 zaposlenih v dveh splošnih bolnišnicah. Rezultati. V posameznih ustanovah so se pokazale majhne razlike v stopnji samozavesti ter tudi v samooceni usposobljenosti. Večjo razliko smo opazili v eni od bolnišnic, kjer je bila izmerjena samozavest nekoliko nižja kot v drugih ustanovah. Prav tako je izmerjena samoocena usposobljenosti in povprečna izmerjena samozavesti nekoliko višja na eni od sodelujočih fakultet. Od vseh dejavnikov, za katere smo predpostavljali, da bi lahko vplivali na stopnjo samoocenjene usposobljenosti, je bila signifikanca dokazana samo pri vplivu samozavesti na lastni občutek usposobljenosti med študenti in zaposlenimi v zdravstveni negi. Sklep. Končni rezultat samoocene nam lahko pokaže prednosti in slabosti področja iz vsakodnevne prakse, kjer lahko svoje veščine in sposobnosti ankatiranci še izboljšajo. Prav tako je lahko smerokaz študentom zdravstvene nege, v katera področja bi bilo še potrebno usmeriti pozornost, da bi le-ti v klinično prakso vstopili kar se da pripravljeni in usposobljeni.

Title:Self-assessment of competencies among students and employees in nursing care
Abstract:Objective. To describe the opinions of the students of the 1st cycle undergraduate study programme Nursing and the graduate nurses about their qualification. The graduate nurse’s self-assessment can be considered of great importance to ensure the high standard of nursing practice; furthermore it helps the nurses to maintain and improve their work skills and indentify their own strengths and weaknesses. Research methodology. The descriptive statistical methods have been used to describe the sample (average, standard deviation, median, modus, min, max, etc.). Further, to define the hypotheses (statistically important differences) the MANOVA analysis has been used in case of the possibility to use parametric method. The acquired data was statistically analysed with the programme SPSS 13.0 for Windows and Microsoft Office Excel 2007. The values p<0.05 were considered statistically important. The research sample comprised 120 3rd year students of two higher education institution offering the undergraduate study programme Nursing (1st cycle). Additionally, 83 graduate nurses participated in the research. 37 nurses from the two Clinics in Ljubljana and 46 nurses from the two General Hospitals. Results. The results among all health care employees show little difference in self-esteem and self-assessment of competencies with the exception of one General Hospital where the self-esteem assessed was somewhat lower than in other institutions. The self-assessment of the competencies as well as the average self-esteem measured among the students was slightly higher at one of participating Faculties. Considering all the factors that could have influenced the self-assessment of the competencies, the significance level was confirmed only for the impact of the self-esteem in one’s own feeling about the competency of each individual health care student and employee. Conclusion. The final results of such a survey indicate the nurse’s strengths and weaknesses as well as where one's skills can be further improved within the everyday nursing practice. Furthermore, it can be used as guidance for the health care students on which area of work they need to focus and thus enter into the clinical practice well prepared and qualified.
