Title:Varivostni preizkus z vstavkom na konstrukcijskem jeklu z nizkim PCM

Abstract:V industrijski praksi se je treba pri obločnem varjenju ogljikovih konstrukcijskih jekel včasih spoprijeti z možnostjo pojava razpokljivosti v hladnem v večvarkovnih varih. To je le takrat, ko ima dodajni material višji PCM kot osnovni. V pričujočem prispevku smo z metodo vstavka eksperimentalno določili občutljivost enega takšnega vara za razpokljivost v hladnem. Če ima pri varivostnem preizkusu z vstavkom material vstavka nižji PCM od navarka, raztopljeni vodik, ki je bil vnesen v zvarno kopel pri varjenju z oplaščeno elektrodo, ne difundira v vstavek. Kljub nezadostni duktilnosti materiala vstavka napetost na meji tečenja ne povzroči nastanka hladnih razpok. Občutljivosti materiala vstavka za razpokljivost v hladnem se v tem primeru ne da oceniti. Možnost difuzije vodika iz navarka v vstavek in iz njega v material podložne plošče je odvisna od kemične sestave. Navarek je material elektrode, nalegiran z osnovno ploščo. Problem difuzije vodika je mogoče obiti z izbiro ustreznega materiala za osnovno ploščo.

Title:Weldability test using an implant made of a low PCM steel
Abstract:Cold cracking of multi-pass weld-metal is sometimes met in industrial practice with the arc welding of carbon structural steels. It happens only when the PCM of the consumable is higher than the PCM of the base metal. In this article the cold-cracking sensitivity of one such weld metal was experimentally determined. When the PCM of the implant material is lower than the PCM of the bead on the plate the diffusible hydrogen introduced into the weld pool during welding with the covered electrode did not diffuse in the implant. Despite the unsatisfactory ductility of the implant material the applied stress on the level of the material yield stress does not cause the formation of cold cracks. In this case the cold-cracking sensitivity of the implant material can not be assessed. The possibility of hydrogen diffusion from the bead on plate into the implant and from the implant to the material of the backing plate depends on the chemical composition. The bead on plate is an electrode picked-up by the backing plate. The problem with hydrogen diffusion can be avoided by the selection of a suitable material for the backing plate.
