Nova informacijska tehnologija, preobremenjenost z delom, slabi medosebni odnosi, nizke plače, vse to in še ogromno drugih dejavnikov pripelje do stresa zaposlenih.

Title:STRESS AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN MEŽIŠKA VALLEY
Abstract:In a time of the constantly increasing pace of life, growing competitiveness, impersonal relations, a constant struggle to survive, a thin line between personal and professional life, a high unemployment rate etc., a vast number of people are being exposed to stress at home or in their workplace. People are of course different, which is why causes, symptoms, consequences and approaches of dealing with stress vary. It is important to know thatthe cause of our problems is stress and that we know how to find out what is causing stress so we can deal with it in the right way. Nowadays more and more stress is present in the workplace. New information technology, work overload, bad interpersonal relations, low wages – these and many other factors cause stress for the employees. One of the more stressful professions is the profession of teachers. We wanted to know how the teachers at the primary educational level in the Valley of the Meža River assess the stressfulness of their job. We wanted to find out how often they are exposed to stress in their workplace, which are the factors that cause stress and which symptoms they exhibit. We also wanted to find out if they were satisfied with their job and if they ever considered quitting their job. The results have shown that teachers assess their profession in most cases as moderately or highly stressful, and that the largest share of teachers is occasionally under stress in their workplace. The majority of teachers defined the large amount of extra work as the biggest stress factor. The most common symptom with most teachers was tiredness. In most cases teachers are satisfied with their profession and they are not thinking about quitting their job.
