Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Invalidnost in invalidi nas dandanes spremljajo že skoraj na vsakem koraku. Vzorec raziskave so predstavljali naključno izbrani zaposleni. Vendar v našem primeru to invalidnim osebam ni omogočeno.

Title:Attitudes of the society toward the disabled
Abstract:Theoretical background: Nowadays disabled persons are a part of everyday life. Disabled are not only the persons on the wheelchairs but also blind and sighted people, deaf and parcel deaf, people with disturbances within mental development… They represent the group of people who are, along with women, the most discriminated people in our society. They are facing difficulties when searching for employment, during their education, with access to various institutions… The attitude towards them can change only by accepting people with disabilities and their needs. Goal: With the research we wanted to find out if there are any differences in the attitude towards the disabled. The comparison was made between the people employed in Municipality Dravograd, Primary school NT Dravograd and Library Dravograd. We also explored if these institutions have an adjusted access for them. Methods: We used a quantitative method of research. To collect data, an anonymous survey was performed among the employees of Municipality Dravograd, Primary school NT Dravograd and Library Dravograd. The pattern of participants is random. Results and discussions: With the help of collected data we found out that there are no major differences between the attitudes of employees in theses institutions towards the disabled. It turned out that the access is not adjusted in Library Dravograd and Municipality Dravograd, where only the main entrance enables the disabled to enter the building. The primary school NT Dravograd enables a complete access to the building for the disabled. All members of the municipality should have access to these institutions. Each person has the need, desire and the right to visit the library by himself, and even more the municipality, where formal and personal matters are being arranged. In spite of this, in this case this is not possible for the disabled persons.
