Abstract:V magistrski nalogi obravnavamo področje igralniškega turizma. Analiziramo zaznave domačinov o učinkih igralniško-turistične dejavnosti v občini Kranjska Gora in njihovo mnenje o razvojni naravnanosti ponudnika igralniških storitev in hotelirstva. V teoretičnem delu naloge predstavimo splošni sporazum o trgovini s storitvami (GATS) in turizem v povezavi s sporazumom. Orišemo razvoj igralniškega turizma v svetu, Evropi in v Sloveniji. Predstavimo deležnike v igralniškem turizmu s posebnim poudarkom na domačinih. V empiričnem delu naloge s strukturiranim vprašalnikom analiziramo zaznavanje ekonomskih, socio-kulturnih in okoljskih vplivov igralniškega turizma pri domačinih v Kranjski Gori. Oblikujemo model vpliva navezanosti domačinov na lokalno okolje in pripadnosti domačinov lokalni skupnosti v povezavi s pozitivnimi in negativnimi učinki igralniškega turizma.

Title:THE DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION OF THE TOURIST GAMBLING ORGANISATION
Abstract:This paper analyses how the impacts of casino gambling tourism are perceived by residents of Kranjska Gora. It also gathers opinions on the development orientation of the gambling and hotel services providers. After introducing the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) and its relation to tourism the paper discusses perceptions of casino gambling worldwide in general and the development of gambling in Europe and in Slovenia in particular. Furthermore, it identifies the stakeholders in gambling tourism, focusing particularly on local residents. The empirical part of the research includes a structured questionnaire analysing the perception of economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of casino gambling tourism by the residents of Kranjska Gora. Based on the place-attachment of local residents and their sense of belonging to the local community, an influence model is developed in regards to the positive and negative impacts of gambling tourism. Finally, the paper analyses the residents' responses on the provision of tourism services and gambling, as well as the future development of casino gambling tourism in the municipality. The results show that the Kranjska Gora municipality should implement a long-term development strategy for casino gambling and tourism, leading to a gradual development of a comprehensive tourist services supply in the area of gambling. Gambling and hotel management activities should not exceed the present level. In addition, the weather dependency of the services should be minimised. The strategy can only succeed if supported by local residents as well as the state. Gambling legislation should promote investments into complementary tourism services.
Keywords:stakeholders in tourism, economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of tourism, local residents' perception of tourism impacts, casino gambling tourism, impacts of the casino gambling tourism, tourism services and the GATS.
