Title:Zasebnost v informacijski družbi : diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študija

Abstract:Internet, informacijsko - komunikacijske tehnologije (IKT) in novosti le-teh so postali v informacijski družbi že del našega vsakdana. Diplomska naloga predstavlja zasebnost v informacijski družbi, kjer v prvem delu obravnava različne definicije pojma zasebnosti, odgovarja, zakaj so pojmovanja in obravnave avtorjev tako raznolike in neskladne, opredeljuje posebej zasebnost kot pravico, in s katerimi pomembnimi akti je le-ta zaščitena. Opredeljena je tudi informacijska zasebnost kot ena izmed dimenzij zasebnosti, katera pa je ključnega pomena za predstavitev zasebnosti v informacijski družbi. Lotili smo se tudi predstavitve instrumentov varovanja zasebnosti in samega pojma informacijske družbe, kaj jo definira in kako jo merimo. Posvetili smo se tudi problematiki uporabe interneta na delovnem mestu in s tem povezane pravice do zasebnosti. V naslednjem delu so nato predstavljene še grožnje zasebnosti v informacijski družbi in tehnologije za varovanje zasebnosti (Privacy Enhancing Technologies), ter problem varnosti in z njo povezano zasebnost, kjer predstavi načine, kako lahko varujemo našo zasebnost v virtualnem prostoru. Na koncu teoretičnega dela pa so predstavljene še napredne tehnične rešitve in varnostne komponente, torej kako oz. kaj bi še lahko v prihodnosti naredili, da zaščitimo zasebnost v tem hitro rastočem tehnološkem svetu. V zadnjem delu pa so predstavljeni rezultati narejene raziskave o tem, kakšen pomen ima zasebnost med slovenskimi uporabniki spletnih aplikacij.

Title:Privacy in information society
Abstract:Internet, information and communication technology (ICT) and novelty of their have already become part of everyday life in the information society. This thesis presents privacy of the information society, where in the first part deals with various definitions of the concept of privacy, answers why the conceptions and the treatment of authors are so diverse and inconsistent, and it specifically defines privacy as a right and major acts with which it is protected. It also identifies information privacy as one of the dimensions of privacy, which is crucial for the presentation of privacy in the information society. It also addresses the introduction of instruments to protect privacy and the very notion of information society, what defines it and how it is measured. It devotes also to the issue of internet use at work and the related right to privacy. The next section then presents further threats to privacy in the information society and technology to protect privacy (Privacy Enhancing Technologies), followed by a presentation of the problem of security and related privacy, and therefore presents ways how we can protect our privacy in cyberspace. At the end of the theoretical work the advanced technical solutions and security components are presented, that is what more could be done and how in the future to protect privacy in this fast growing technological world. The last part presents the results of the research that was done, which displays what significance has privacy for the users of Slovenian web applications.
