Abstract:Pripravništvo je institut, namenjen uvajanju v samostojno delo.

Title:Legal status of voluntary interns in the Republic of Slovenia
Abstract:Internship is an institute which has the intention of introduction into independent work. It is no longer mandatory by Slovenian law, but still possible to perform. Interns are persons, who are employed or volunteers, meaning, they are volunteer interns and they do not receive payment for their work. Volunteer interns work in organizations and institutions, where employment is not possible, since they have no need for employment, but the necessary expertise and experience can be acquired only there. Voluntary internship is defined in the Employment Relations Act and also in some other special laws and lower legal acts that define where and under what conditions it can be performed. Voluntary internship is very important in occupations where passing the professional examination provides greater employment opportunities. Most volunteer interns are in justice, health, public administration and education.
Keywords:internship, voluntary internship, justice, health, public administration, education, professional examination.
