Delo se temeljito posveti oblikovni, ritmični, melodični, harmonski in interpretacijski analizi avtorskih priredb, primerjavi z originali in priredbami skladatelja Uroša Kreka. V diplomskem delu so uporabljene naslednje metode: deskriptivna, zgodovinska, komparativna ter metoda analize in sinteze.

Title:FIVE FOLK SONGS FROM PORABJE
Abstract:This diploma paper is theoretical. It discusses folk music and folk songs in general. A few words are dedicated to the early development of ethnomusicology and the beginnings of collecting folk music in Slovenia and Hungary. Furthermore it presents Porabje, the region of origin of the adapted songs, and the life and work of the composer Uroš Krek, whose adaptations are analysed in the diploma paper. After this we focus on the analysis and interpretation of the lyrics, which originate from the aforementioned folk songs. In full detail we later focus on the morphological, rhytmic, melodic, harmonic and interpretational analysis of adaptations, compared with the originals and the adaptations of Uroš Krek. In the process of writing, different methods were used: the descriptive method, the historical method, the comparative method and the method of analysis and synthesis.
Keywords:Five folk songs from Porabje, ethnomusicology, folk music, Uroš Krek, Jaz pa pojdem na Gorenjsko [I'm leaving for Gorenjska], Komi se drema naj ide spat [He who is tired, should go to sleep], Micika v püngradi [Micika in the garden], Pravo sam ti dostakrat [I often told you], Snočkaršnja noč nam prav luštno veselo [Yesterday's night was so joyful and happy]
