Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili depresijo in akutni miokardni infarkt (AMI). Bolezni srca in ožilja so glavni vzrok smrti.

Title:Depression and acute miocardic infarct
Abstract:In this diploma we have presented depression and acute miocardic infarct (AMI). We have exposed the most frequent factors of risk for depression and AMI. We have also described the importance of psihocardiology, which researches psyhological factors, connected with the development and presence of coronar illness. In the empirical part of the work we have presented the research done at the Internal clinic of cardiology in Ljubljana. Sixty-one patients have taken part in it, all of them after AMI and have needed medical treatment. We have tried to find out the presence of depression symptomatics or presence of depressive disturbance. The aim of this diploma work was to show comorbid or connection between the depression and AMI. We have researched also if comorbid AMI and depression prolong hospitalization because of AMI. We have also wanted to find out the factors of risk for heart-venal diseases that are also connected with apppearance and further development of depression. Human organism is an entity of physical and physical. So the health is the only one. Heart and venae diseases are the main cause of death. The scientists think that in 20 years depression will became the main cause for death, if it will not overtake heart-venae diseases. So we have to take care for good mental and physical health. Physical diseases have a great influence on the organism. There is the fact that many people with coronar illness have problems with depression. There is also correlation in both ways.
