Abstract:V diplomski nalogi opisujmo aplikacijo, ki smo jo izdelali na mobilni napravi, tako da uporablja vgrajeni GPS-sprejemnik. Aplikacija omogoča sledenje na zahtevo uporabnika, posneto sled je tudi možno uvoziti v spletne zemljevide. Aplikacija prikazuje tudi grafični kompas, ki kaže smer neba, tj. sever, ter opravljala osnovno navigacijo s kazalcem v smeri gibanja do položaja, ki ga izbere uporabnik. Obdelamo teorijo, povezano s sistemom GPS (Global Positioning System), in predstavimo računanje razdalj med kraji, pri čemer uporabimo aproksimativni metodi v sistemu WGS-84, metodi Haversine in kosinusni zakon krogle ter natančnejše kartografske sisteme (stari državni koordinatni sistem D48/GK in novi D96/TM).

Title:GPS TRACKING ON MOBILE DEVICES AND DISTANCE MEASURING MODELS
Abstract:In this diploma thesis we describe a mobile application that we developed by using built-in GPS receiver. Application allows tracking on user’s demand and importing the trace onto the web maps. This application also supports graphics for a compass implementation that points to the North and serves for basic navigation. A pointer accompanies the compass in order to direct to the place chosen by the user. We also study the theories behind the GPS system (Global Positioning System) and reveal calculating of distances between places. We use approximate methods in WGS-84 system, Haversine methods, spherical law of cosines and more accurate mapping systems (the old national coordinate system D48/GK and new D96/TM coordinate system).
