Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava umeščanje art centra na degradiranao zemljišče na robu mesta ob Pekrskem potoku v neposredni bližini stanovanjskega naselja Borova vas, z namenom revitalizacije tega in okoliških spalnih naselij. Diplomsko delo zaključuje urbanistično-arhitekturna zasnova art centra ob Pekrskem potoku.

A short introduction to the ECC programme is followed by a more precise analysis of the longterm effects of the project Glasgow 1990 and Antwerp 1993, which are known as the most succesfull cities regarding the long-term development of the city and the region. This is linked to the spatial development of the city of Maribor, which would be generated through the ECC. A case study of two projects, Yellow House - a temporary spatial installation in 2009, when the city of Linz was entitled ECC and the community center Ausersichl in Zurich, has served as the basis for the outline of programme for the project.
