Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo pregledali trenutno stanje na področju volumetričnega kiparjenja. Razložili smo kaj so vokselski podatki in kako jih lahko predstavimo v pomnilniku. Pogledali smo tudi področje upodabljanja vokselskih podatkov in na kratko predstavili nekaj najpopularnejših tehnik upodabljanja, nato pa predstavili dve profesionalni aplikaciji za ustvarjanje vokselskih modelov. Izdelali smo eksperimentalni program za volumetrično upodabljanje, imenovan Sculpit, kjer smo preizkusili nekaj uveljavljenih in nekaj svojih konceptov predstavitve v pomnilniku, upodabljanja in urejanja vokselskih podatkov. Na koncu pa smo podali sklepe in zaključke, do katerih smo prišli med izdelavo diplomskega dela.

Title:VOLUME SCULPTING
Abstract:In this thesis we have presented the field of volume sculpting as it is today. We have explained what are voxel data and how we store voxel data in computer memory. We have also presented some of the most popular techniques used in volume rendering today and then we have shown two professional applications used for creating models using voxels. We have implemented an experimental program for volume sculpting called Sculpit, where we have tried out some popular concepts and some concepts of our own for storing, rendering and manipulating voxel data. Finally we have presented our conclusions, which we have obtained durig the creation of this work.
