Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo raziskali zgradbo vokselskih modelov. To znanje smo nato uporabili za izdelavo aplikacije, ki uporablja štiriška in osmiška drevesa za stiskanje teh modelov. Preverili smo tudi vpliv Grayeve transformacije in spremembe barvnega prostora v YUV na nivo stiskanja. Obe transformaciji smo nato podrobno opisali, prav tako pa tudi postopka stiskanja s štiriškimi in osmiškimi drevesi. Ključni element diplomske naloge je bil preverjanje delovanja in učinkovitosti opisanih algoritmov.

Title:LOSSLESS VOXEL DATA COMPRESSION BASED ON QUADTREES AND OCTREES
Abstract:In this diploma work we researched composition of voxel models. The obtained knowledge was then used in an application which is using quadtrees and octrees to compress voxel models. We also checked influence of Gray transformation and YUV colour space on compression efficiency. Then we described both transformations and compression with quadtrees and octrees. The key elements were functioning and efficiency testing of described algorithms.
