Title:RAZISKOVANJE SNOVI V PREDŠOLSKEM OBDOBJU (PROJEKT:SOL, KAJ JE TO?)

Abstract: V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge je predstavljen model izkustvenega učenja, na katerem temelji projektno delo, ki omogoča otrokom raziskovanje snovi z lastno aktivnostjo, reševanje problemov in razvijanje sposobnosti pridobivanja in izmenjave informacij v okviru manjših skupin. Podrobneje je predstavljena tudi snov, ki jo otroci pri projektnem delu raziskujejo – to je sol. Empirični del predstavlja projekt o soli, ki je bil izveden v skupini otrok, starih od štiri do šest let. Ciljna zasnova projekta je bilo pridobivanje konkretnih izkušenj za neposredno učenje na temelju reševanja problemov. Pred vsakim eksperimentom so otroci v razgovoru v manjših skupinah predstavili svojo hipotezo in možnosti rešitve eksperimentalnega problema. Po izvedbi poskusa so to hipotezo ovrgli ali jo potrdili. Otroci so skozi projekt uspešno razvijali sposobnost reševanja problemov, pridobivanja informacij in učenja iz lastnih izkušenj. Razvijali so sposobnost opazovanja, interpretacije in opisovanja. Delo v manjših skupinah pa je vsakemu dalo možnost, da svojo zamisel izrazi in tako so prihajali v ospredje tudi otroci, ki se drugače, pri drugih dejavnostih, neradi izpostavljajo oz. sodelujejo pri izvedbi in razgovorih.

Title:THE RESEARCH OF CONTENT IN PRESCHOOL PERIOD (THE PROJECT: WHAT IS SALT?)
Abstract: In the theoretical part of the thesis, the model of experiential learning is presented on which the project is based. It enables children to engage in research with their own activity, solving problems and developing the abilities of acquiring and sharing information within small groups. The content, i.e. salt, which children research in the project, is described in detail. In the empirical part the project about salt, which was performed with the group of 4 to 6 year old children, is presented. The aim of the project was to acquire the experience for direct learning on the basis of problem-based learning. Before each experiment children in small groups discussed their hypotheses and possible solutions of the experimental problem. After performing an experiment they either confirmed or disproved their hypotheses. During the project were children successfully developing the ability of solving problems, acquiring information and learning from experience. They were developing their ability of observing, interpretation and describing. Small group work enabled all children to express their ideas. Therefore also children who were normally not willing to be exposed or cooperate in performances or discussions came to the front.
