Abstract:V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge so predstavljeni novodobni otroci, poimenovani tudi indigo, kristalni in mavrični otroci, ter njihove lastnosti. Navedeni so primeri teh otrok, nasveti za optimalno delo z njimi in njihovo vključevanje v vzgojno izobraževalni sistem ter Waldorfsko pedagogiko. Razrešena je polemika novodobnih otrok v primerjavi z nadarjenimi, razvajenimi in hiperaktivnimi otroki. Opisano je mnenje strokovnjakov, njihov vidik in izkušnje z njimi. V empiričnem delu naloge smo preučili vidik novodobnih otrok pri vzgojiteljih. Ugotovili smo, da je večina vzgojiteljic seznanjena s fenomenom indigo otrok, da večinoma dojemajo te otroke kot problematične in razvajene. Vzroke za značilnosti novodobnih otrok pripisujejo vzgoji staršev, vloga medijev pa se zdi večini zanemarljiva. Vzgojiteljice tovrstnim generacijam spontano prilagajajo načine dela.

Title:MODERN CHILDREN FROM THE EDUCATORS' POINT OF VIEW
Abstract:In the theoretical part of the diploma work modern children – also called indigo, crystal and iridescent children – and their characteristics are presented. Examples of such children are given, together with advice for optimal work with them and their integration into the educational system and the Waldorf pedagogy. The polemic of modern children as compared to the gifted, spoilt and hyperactive children is solved. The experts' opinions are described, their points of view as well as their experience. In the empyric part of the work the aspect of modern children for educators has been studied. We have established that the majority of kindergarten tutors are acquanted with the phenomenon of indigo children, and that they mostly regard these children as being problematic and spoilt. The causes for the characteristics of modern children are ascribed to their upbringing by their parents, whereas the role of the media is considered negligible by the majority. The kindergarten tutors spontaneously adapt their methods of work to such generations.
