Abstract:Tematika diplomske naloge zajema spletne storitve v povezavi s programskimi tovarnami, s pomočjo katerih razvijamo sodobne in robustne informacijske sisteme oz. storitve. Cilj diplomske naloge je bila predstavitev spletnih storitev in programskih tovarn skupaj z njunimi komponentami. Z diplomskim delom smo želeli prikazati prednosti uporabe programskih tovarn in spletnih storitev pred klasičnimi spletnimi aplikacijami. Programske tovarne v praksi omogočajo mnogo lažji in hitrejši razvoj sistemov v primerjavi s klasičnim pristopom, saj ponujajo razvijalcu že izdelane primerke, izvorno kodo, strukturno organiziranost projekta ter nekatere ostale prednosti. Vzajemna uporaba programskih tovarn, spletnih storitev ter klasičnih spletnih aplikacij nudi uporabnikom bogato uporabniško iskušnjo, razvijalcem pa lažji razvoj kompleksnih rešitev.

Title:DEVELOPMENT OF WEB SERVICES WITH SOFTWARE FACTORIES
Abstract:The main topic of this diploma work are Web services in cooperation with Software Factories, which are helping us to develop modern, robust information systems and services. Principal goal of this diploma was to present and to describe Web services and Software factories together with their components. With our work we want to demonstrate the benefits of using Software factories and Web services ahead of traditional (classic) web applications. For better understanding of technologies, we have created an information system (application), which is using Web services and Software factories, called Onlike Library. Our results show that Web services are more appropriate choice than traditional web applications when we have ongoing interaction – transaction between different institutions or organizations. In this case we do not need uniform infrastructure or system because Web services enable us to exchange data in XML format, which is easier to read and process within different systems. We show Software factories allow easier and faster developement of systems compared to the traditional approach in practice, because they offer examples of application and source codes, enable structural organization of projects and have some other advantages for developers. To conclude, common use of Software factories, Web services and traditional web applications brings richer user experience to end users and easier aproach to develope complex solutions for developers.
