Abstract:Izgorelost je postala neizogiben pojav vsakdanjega življenja mnogih zaposlenih. Sodoben način življenja s hitrim tempom, z negotovostjo zaposlitve ter individualizacijo vse pogosteje potiska ljudi v bolezensko stanje. Izgorelosti so najbolj izpostavljeni poklici, ki se ukvarjajo s pomočjo drugim. Mednje spada tudi poklic učitelja. Zanimalo nas je v kolikšni meri osnovnošolski in srednješolski učitelji doživljajo simptome izgorelosti, ali na stopnjo izgorelosti vpliva spol zaposlenega učitelja, dolžina delovne dobe, njegovo zadovoljstvo na delovnem mestu ter samo delovno mesto učitelja. Rezultati naše raziskave so pokazali, da je izgorelost močno razširjena med učitelji ne glede na zgoraj naštete dejavnike. To dejstvo nam kaže, da se še vedno ne zavedamo dovolj nevšečnosti in težav, ki jih povzroča ta sodobna poklica bolezen. Na področju preventive in reorganizacije učiteljevega dela, je zato potrebnega veliko dela, saj lahko le tako preprečimo razvitje te hude bolezni.

Title:Sociological aspects of teacher burnout in the workplace
Abstract:Burnout has become an unavoidable phenomenon of everyday’s life of many employed people. Contemporary way of living with its quick tempo, uncertainty of employment and individualization is causing the widening of the phenomena. Professions whose duty is to help other people are the one who are the most liable to the burnout. The vocation of a teacher is one of them. We were curious to know to which extend the primary and secondary teachers are experiencing the symptoms of burnout; if the degree of burnout is connected with the gender of employed teacher, teacher`s working period, their contentment with employment and their working position. The results of our research indicate that burnout is a widely spread phenomena among teachers regardless the above listed factors and that we are not conscious of unpleasantness and troubles caused by this professional disease. Only by working on prevention and reorganization of teacher`s work, the degree of burnout can be reduced.
