Abstract:V diplomski nalogi je predstavljeno obstoječe stanje na področju programske rešitve vodenja članov GS1 Slovenija. Prikazani so obstoječi procesi in opisano problemsko stanje upravljanja poslovanja s člani. Vse našteto pomeni enostavnejše, hitrejše, zanesljivejše in predvsem učinkovito upravljanje poslovanja s člani.

Title:PRELIMINARY STUDY OF CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Abstract:This diploma thesis presents the current situation regarding the program solution for the management of members of GS1 Slovenia. The management process and the associated problems are analysed in detail. The process is at present supported by a number of different software applications that are only partially interconnected. Moreover, these software applications are not connected to the external data bases of the agencies like AJPES, GVIN and others. Specifically, the technical concept of the present software application used for the management of the members of GS1 Slovenia and for the allocation of GS1 membership numbers does not allow the entry of all member data. This is a serious limitation since, due to the changes on the market in the recent years, more and more data on members need to be acquired. The diploma thesis reveals a proposal for a program solution along with a prototype application SalesForce. The proposed solution introduces a customer relationship management (CRM) system with the aim to improve the quality of the above mentioned process and of the associated operations in general. In this context the solution also takes into account the majority of the requirements stated by the GS1 members. The proposed concept of the new solution allows a complete entry of all kinds of member data as well as a creation of different kinds of reports, needed by the administrator of the application. This leads to a simpler, faster, more reliable and above all a more efficient management of GS1 customer operations.
