Title:Motnje spanja pri starostnikih zaradi kroničnih bolezni

Abstract:Spanje je ena izmed osnovnih življenjskih aktivnosti, ki je za normalno delovanje človeka zelo pomembna. Motnje spanja so pogost pojav v starosti. Vzroki za nespečnost pri starostnikih so različni. Znana so kronična obolenja pri starostnikih, ki lahko hipotetično vplivajo na motnje spanja. V diplomskem delu smo opredelili kronična obolenja srca in ožilja, kronična obolenja dihal, revmatična kronična obolenja in nevrološka kronična obolenja, ki hipotetično lahko vplivajo na motnje spanja in aktivnosti zdravstvene nege, ki pomagajo starostnikom zaspati. V raziskavi smo z anketo ugotavljali težave in vzroke motenj spanja, ki so posledica kroničnih bolezni in aktivnosti, ki izboljšajo spanje. Rezultati raziskave so potrdili, da imajo starostniki pogoste težave z motnjami spanja. Večina anketiranih meni, da so se motnje pojavile zaradi kroničnih obolenj. V našem raziskovalnem vzorcu smo ugotovili, da na spanje najbolj vpliva kronično revmatično obolenje. Večina anketiranih starostnikov spi več kot 8 ur, ponoči se povprečno zbudijo trikrat, najpogosteje zaradi pogostega uriniranja. Starostniki pogosto počivajo čez dan, da zaspijo, jim najbolj pomagajo uspavala. Ugotavljamo da medicinske sestre v domu za starejše najbolj pomagajo anketiranim starostnikom tako, da jim uredijo posteljo in aplicirajo predpisano uspavalo. Pomagajo jim tudi s pogovorom pred spanjem, saj jih pogovor pomiri.

Title:Sleep disorders in the elderly due to diseases
Abstract:Sleep is one of the primary life activities which are for normal human activity very important. In older age sleep disorders are very often. Reasons for sleep disorders in older age are different. We now chronic diseases in older age which can hypothetically proved sleep disorders. In graduate thesis we define hard and vascular chronic diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, rheumatic chronic diseases and neurological chronic diseases, that hypothetically can cause sleep disorders and nursing activity which help old aged people to sleep. In research with questionnaire we define problems and reasons of sleep disorders which are results of chronic diseases and activity which make sleep better. Results of research proved, that old aged people had often problems with sleep. Majority respondents believe that disorder is due to chronic diseases. In our research sample we found that chronic rheumatic diseases most affected by sleep. Most interviewed elderly people sleep more than 8 hours at night. They wake up on average 3 times at night, most often due to frequent urination. Elderly often rest during the day. Most help them to sleep, sleeping pills. We found that most nurses in nursing home surveyed assist elderly by helping them arrange bed and apply prescribed sleeping pill. They help them also with talk before sleep, because talks relax them.
