Abstract:Magistrsko delo predstavlja pomen dokumentacije zdravstvene nege in razvijanje računalniško podprte dokumentacije zdravstvene nege za izboljšanje kakovosti in varnosti pacienta. Metodologija raziskovanja. V magistrskem delu smo uporabili kvantitativno metodologijo. Uporabljen je bil elektronski anketni vprašalnik zaprtega tipa. V raziskavi so sodelovali člani negovalnega tima Splošne bolnišnice Novo mesto. Za analizo podatkov smo uporabili statistični paket SPSS. Znotraj tega programskega paketa smo z namenom potrditve postavljenih hipotez uporabili dva statistična testa: hi-kvadrat test in Fisherjev eksaktni test. Za vizualizacijo podatkov in osnovno deskriptivno analizo smo uporabili Microsoft Excel 2003. Rezultati raziskave. Medicinske sestre moramo svoje delo opravljati profesionalno in etično z upoštevanjem Zakona o varstvu osebnih podatkov.

Title:COMPUTER SUPPORTED NURSING CARE DOCUMENTATION AND PROTECTION OF PATIENT DATA
Abstract:This thesis deals with the importance of nursing care documentation and with the development of computerized records to improve health care quality and patient safety. Research methodology. In this thesis, we used quantitative methodology, with an electronic questionnaire of closed-type questions. The study involved nursing care members from the General Hospital of Novo mesto. Given the number of employed nurses the sample chosen was 200. There were 125 returned surveys. For data analysis we used the statistical package SPSS. Within this software package two statistical tests were used to confirm hypothesis: chi-square test and Fisher's exact test. For data visualization and basic descriptive analysis Microsoft Excel 2003 was used. Research results. The results show that nurses need adequate knowledge to work with computers. 87.2 % of the surveyed nurses agree that knowledge about the use of the program needs to be obtained by participation in a BIRPIS21 computer course. Given the rapid development of information technology and security, 60.8 % agree with the use of a computer-based nursing documentation. That for a safe application access individual passwords should be used, is agreed by 68.8 % of nurses. 81.6 % agree that each individual is responsible for the protection of patient data. Conclusion. Use of information technology, to support nursing practice, would ensure the visibility of nursing data in health care systems. Nurses need additional skills in informatics to incorporate clinical expertise into the system and use all the possibilities offered by information technology. Collection and storage of patient data in the computer has various values. Nurses should perform their work professionally and ethically with regard to the law on protection of personal data.
