Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Sodelovanje rejniških družin s šolo v teoretičnem delu obravnavamo sistem rejništva in odnose, ki potekajo znotraj rejniškega sistema.

Title:Cooperation of foster families with the school
Abstract:Thesis on the Cooperation of foster families with the school in the theoretical part deals with foster care and relationships that take place in the foster care system. In the theoretical part the emphasis is put on cooperation between foster parents, school and foster child. Here, we also describe detailed formal and informal forms of cooperation between school (teachers) and home (foster parents). We also focused on the role of foster parents in presenting the importance of school to their foster child. In empirical part of the paper we made a research in Maribor, Ruše, Ptuj and Slovenska Bistrica, with the purpose to understand life of foster families. Here we specifically focus on forms of cooperation and communication between foster parents and teachers and also on the learning atmosphere of a foster home. The results show that the majority of foster families foster up to three children and that foster parents primarily decide for foster care because of their desire to help others. Most foster children, when seek help in learning, often turn for help to foster mother, rather than foster father. We also found out that foster parents regularly attend interview hours and parent meetings, and that they make contact with teachers out of their formal teaching hours, when necessary.
