Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil proučiti pomen uporabe otrokom prilagojene trim steze v vrtcu in ugotoviti, ali načrtovana, redno izvajana in vodena gibalna dejavnost na otrokom prilagojeni trim stezi vpliva na njihov gibalni razvoj in na razvoj njihovih telesnih razsežnosti.

Title:THE USE OF CHILDREN - ADAPTED TRIM TRAIL IN KINDERGARTEN
Abstract:The aim of the diploma paper was to look into the meaning of the use of children-adopted trim trail in kindergarten and to acknowledge if a planned, regularly performed and conducted exercise has any influence on the children's physical development or their physical dimensions. In the theoretical part of the diploma, we presented the characteristics and the history of trim trails with the emphasis on the Trbovlje Kindergarten's trim trail, which is unique in Slovenia. In addition, we described children's physical abilities, physical development and physical knowledge, including its influence on their physical development. The teacher's competence in the exercise field is also presented. The results of the two-month pedagogical experiment are presented in the empirical part of the diploma. They have been analysed and compared between the experimental group, which was regularly using the adopted trim trail according to plan, and the controlled group, which was not a part of the experiment. According to the results of the initial testing of the children's physical abilities, the children from the experimental group have achieved better results than those from the controlled group. The final testing revealed that the children from the experimental group have improved their results in comparison to the children from the controlled group. We have acknowledged that physical characteristics are not influenced by a planned, regularly performed and conducted exercise. On the basis of the results of the pedagogical experiment we can conclude that the adopted trim trail positively affects the physical development of the sample of children included in the experiment.
Keywords:planned physical performance, trim trail, physical abilities, physical knowledge, physical development, physical dimensions, teacher's competence.
