Abstract:Superkondenzator je element za hranjenje energije v vozilih na električni pogon. Za uporabo v kombinaciji z elektromotornim servopogonom je potrebno napetostno območje delovanja superkondenzatorja prilagoditi območju napajalne napetosti pogona. Pretvornik je zasnovan tako, da nadzorovano pretvarja energijo med glavnimi električnimi komponentami. Pretvornik deluje kot Buck (navzdol), kadar pretvarja energijo, ki se ustvari pri zaviranju ali vožnji po klancu navzdol ter jo shranjuje v baterije ali superkondenzatorje. V obratni smeri oziroma v Boost (navzgor) načinu delovanja pretvarja energijo iz baterij ali superkondenzatorjev v pogonsko energijo za elektromotor.

Title:DESIGN OF BUCK-BOOST CONVERTER FOR SUPER-CAPACITOR
Abstract:An efficent storage of energy in hybrid drives is still an important issue. In most solutions, the batteries are used. A high-capacitance capacitors, also called super-capacitor, are often used as an intermediate unit between the batteries and the drive. Because of their high dynamics they are very useful in acceleration regime when a peak of energy is required. For implementation in combination with electric motor it is necessary to adjust voltage level of super-capacitor to the driving voltage level of motor. Therefore, a suitable converter has to be designed. The converter has to operate as step-down DC-DC converter (BUCK) when it has to store energy from breaking or driving downhill to the super-capacitors. When the energy is needed for powering the drive, converter has to operate as step-up DC-DC converter (BOOST)
