Metodologija raziskovanja. V raziskavi smo uporabili kvantitativno metodologijo raziskovanja z uporabo delno strukturiranega vprašalnika.

Title:DIVORCE AND SEPARATION EFFECT ON CHILD
Abstract:The problem for a child whose parents separate or divorce is that parents are unaware of consequences of their decision. In the process of separating and divorcing parents have many problems and disagreements and sometimes they simply forget how this situation affects their child. The child is usually afraid and uncertain, but he monitors the situation in detail, even though he does not understand or accept it. The purpose of study was to present and analyze experiencing of the process of divorce and possible responses of children on it. We also wish to present different approaches and ways of help that nurses can use to help children in this difficult and challenging period of life. Methodology. We used quantitative research methodology with the use of partially structured questionnaire. The study was carried out in pediatric clinic of Univerzitetni klinični center Maribor. Questionnaire contained twenty-one questions. Nineteen questions were of opened type and two questions were semi-opened. The study involved fifty people from the nursing team. The research was made in February 2011. Results. The results of a survey show that nurses do not have enough knowledge on how to help a child whose parents are divorcing. They do not consider themselves as the right persons for that kind of help. The results also show that 90 % of nurses in pediatric clinic had to deal with children whose parents were divorcing. Conclusion. The research reveals that nurses can help child with talk, listening and encouraging. They can not advice parents or a child, because they do not have enough knowledge.
