Title:DOLOČANJE LASTNOSTI TVP ZVAROV IN OCENA STROŠKOV PRI VARJENJU

Abstract:V diplomskem delu je predstavljena numerična simulacija določevanja lastnosti toplotno vplivanega področja (TVP) zvarov na preizkušancih oblike peščene ure z uporabo programa Abaqus. V bistvu gre za trgalni preizkus na posebej oblikovanem vzorcu v obliki peščene ure, ki je posledica omejitev pri aplikaciji termičnega cikla varjenja na osnovni material na simulatorju. Takšno določevanje lastnosti v majhnem področju okrog realnega zvara (TVP) sicer ne bi bilo mogoče. Osnova za diplomsko delo temelji na rezultatih raziskovalnega dela na vzorcih s simulirano mikrostrukturo TVP, ki so ga pred tem opravili v Laboratoriju za varjenje Fakultete za strojništvo v Mariboru. To je bil temelj za izbiro specifične oblike preizkušanca in tokratno izvedeno numerično simulacijo poskusa na takratnem preizkušancu. V diplomskem delu smo hoteli preveriti rezultate opravljenega eksperimentalnega dela in potrditi oziroma zavreči pravilno izbiro oblike preizkušanca za določitev reoloških lastnosti TVP zvarov. TVP zvara je najbolj občutljivo področje pri zvaru kar se tiče vplivov napak, porušitve zvara, pravilne izbire postopkov ter pripravo zvarov oziroma izbiro varilnih parametrov. Prav zato smo v diplomskem delu poskušali z ekonomskimi izračuni opravičiti nekatere postopke za pripravo in poobdelavo zvarov, ki (lahko) imajo ključen vpliv na kvaliteto in posledično tudi na odpornost zvara na porušitve, vplive napak in drugo.

Title:DETERMINATION OF WELD HAZ PROPERTIES AND COST ESTIMATION OF WELDING
Abstract:In this diploma paper I have described the numerical simulation of determining HAZ weld properties on an hourglass shaped specimen using the Abaqus software. It is basically a tensile type of testing on a specifically designed testing sample. Due to the restrictions of thermal welding simulator, the sample has to be shaped in the form of an hourglass. Measurements of HAZ properties are usually not possible due to extremely small area of interest, so we had to use the simulator. I have used the results of a previous research work on samples with simulated HAZ microstructure as the basis for this diploma paper. The research work has been carried out at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Maribor in the Welding laboratory. These researches had a significant impact on my choice of the shape of the specimen and were also the reference point of my numerical simulation of the test. In my diploma paper I have compared the results of previous testing with the results of my simulation in order to confirm or discard the choice of the hourglass shaped model in determining the rheological properties of HAZ material. The HAZ is the weakest point of welds regarding effects of defects, the integrity, selection of proper welding methods, weld joint preparation and setting the correct welding parameters. That is the reason why I have included some feasibility calculations of proper welding procedures, such as the correct preparation and post weld heat treatment, which would greatly improve the overall quality and integrity of welds.
