Abstract:Velika Polana, vas, ki leži v osrčju prekmurske ravnice (Dolinsko), je bila priča burnemu dogajanju ob koncu vojne in vzpostavitvi nove, takratnemu preprostemu kmečkemu človeku dotlej neznane, oblasti. Obvezna oddaja živil, agrarna reforma, nacionalizacija in nasilna kolektivizacija so prinesle velike spremembe v življenje malega polanskega kmeta. V letih obnove so se ljudje, eni z navdušenjem drugi brez, vključevali v obnovo vasi s prostovoljnim delom. Prvi petletni plan je na poti razvoja na vasi prinesel mnoge spremembe. Poleg že obstoječih, predvsem verskih, združb in gasilskega društva so se ustanovila nova društva in organizacije, ki so bile organizirane s strani države.
Keywords:Ljudska oblast, komunistična partija, udarništvo, petletni plan, agrarna reforma, nacionalizacija, kolektivizacija, državno šolstvo.

Title:VELIKA POLANA 1945 – 1953
Abstract:Velika Polana, a village in the heart of the Prekmurje plain (Dolinsko) witnessed some turbulent events when the war ended and a new authority, unknown to the simple farmer living in the village, was established. This was the so called people's authority, also established elsewhere in Slovenia and all across Yugoslavia. The small farmer – a seasonal worker, looking for comfort in his deep faith in God, was taken by surprise by the hard life after the war and the ideas of the new political system. A local national liberation committee was established, which changed its name to local people's committee in 1946 and to community people's committee in 1952. State and church began to go their separate ways – the former church school became a state school. Obligatory food delivery, agricultural reform, nationalisation and forceful collectivisation brought big changes to the life of the small farmer of Polana. In the restoration years people were more or less eager to rebuild the village by doing volunteer work. The first five years brought on many changes in the village development. Besides existing, mainly religious societies and fire fighting organisations many new societies and organisations were formed by the government.
Keywords:People's authority, communist party, strike labour, five-year plan, agricultural reform, nationalisation, collectivisation, state schools.
