Abstract:Povzetek V diplomski nalogi je opisana struktura in delovanje elektronskega glasbenega instrumenta Theremin. Osnovni sklopi, ki sestavljajo Theremin so: oscilator s konstantno frekvenco, oscilator s spremenljivo frekvenco, ter mešalna stopnja. Na Theremin igramo tako, da spreminjamo razdaljo roke od elektrode in s tem spreminjamo kapacitivnost kondenzatorja, posledično pa se spreminja frekvenca spremenljivega oscilatorja. Njegov bistveni del je mešalna stopnja, ki nam pretvori visoko frekvenčni signal v signal s frekvenco v slišnem območju človeskega ušesa. Mešan signal vodimo preko nizko prepustnega sita na ojačevalnik in nato na zvočnik. Pomemben podatek je tudi občutljivost oziroma odvisnost spremembe frekvence generiranega signala od odaljenosti roke do elektrode. Našim ušesom zaznavno spremembe frekvence izhodnega signala smo dosegli v razdalji do približno 9 cm od elektrod, kar je v območju, ki smo si ga zastavili. Elektronski glasbeni instrument smo izdelali kot dvokanalni in v lesenem ohišju.

Title:ELECTRONIC MUSIC INSTRUMENT THEREMIN
Abstract:Abstract This thesis describes the structure and operation of an electronic musical instrument called the 'Theremin'. The basic parts which make up the Theremin are as follows: - a constant-frequency oscillator, an oscillator with variable frequency and a frequency mixer. The Theremin is played by altering the distance of your hands from the electrodes and thereby changing the capacitive nature of the capacitor and consequently the frequency of the variable oscillator. The instruments essential part is the frequency mixer, which converts the oscillators’ high-frequency signal into an audible range signal. The mixed signal is brought via low-pass filters to the amplifier and on to the speaker. An important point is the sensitivity of the change in frequency of the signal generated by the distance of ones hands to the electrodes. Our ears detect changes in the output signal frequency at a distance of approximately 9cm from the electrodes, which is where our presumptions in diploma disposition. The electronic musical instrument has been created as a 2-channel placed inside a wooden casing.
