Abstract:Pospešen razvoj industrije v zadnjih desetletjih je doprinesel k povečani porabi električne energije. Rezultati numeričnega izračuna so vizualno predstavljeni v zaključku tega diplomskega dela in vzporedno kolacionirani s predhodno dobljenimi rezultati sorodnega programa Ansys CFX.

Title:NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF FLUE GAS DESULFURISATION SPRAY TOWER
Abstract:Development of industry in recent decades has contributed to increasing of electrical power consumption. Production of this type of energy, particularly fossil fuels significantly rise environmental pollution. Consequently has world wide community adopted Kyoto Protocol and environmental certification according to ISO 14001, which require is protecting the environment. The following of this requirements, has dramatically risen development of treatment plants. In the context of above, this study precisely presents the device for flue gas desulphurisation. The purpose of this thesis is analysis of flue gas hydrodynamics and mists droplets in spray tower of wet flue gas scrubber. Findings might improve the absorption of sulfur dioxide in injected droplets. In modern oriented engineering is increasingly used software for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, cause of that this theasys was carried out with Ansys Fluent CFD program. The results of numerical calculation are presented visually in the conclusion of this thesis and in parallel compared with previously obtained results of a similar program Ansys CFX. Based on these results, optimal solutions for the dimensioning of the device can be done.
