Abstract:Diplomsko delo predstavlja izdelavo podcast vtičnika za multimedijsko platformo XBMC. Vtičnik predvaja video in avdio vsebine podcastov Multimedijskega centra Radiotelevizije Slovenija. V nalogi sta opisana teoretično ozadje tehnologij in potek razvoja vtičnika. Opredeljena sta problem in cilj naloge, predstavljen je končni rezultat. Platforma XBMC je nameščena na operacijskem sistemu Microsoft Windows, vtičnik pa je napisan v programskem jeziku Python. Za pisanje programske kode je uporabljen urejevalnik Notepad++, za testiranje vtičnika pa XBMC Media Center, verzija 9.11.

Title:DEVELOPMENT OF PODCAST APPLICATION FOR XBMC PLATFORM
Abstract:The diploma work presents the development of podcast plug-in for XBMC multimedia platform. The plug-in plays video and audio podcasts of Radio-Television Slovenija Multimedia Centre. This diploma work describes theoretical background of technologies and the course of development of the plug-in. It specifies the problem and the goal of the assignment and it presents the final results. The XBMC platform is running on Microsoft Windows operating system and the plug-in is written in Python programming language. The Notepad++ source code editor was used for writing the programming code and the XBMC Media Center (version 9.11.) was used for testing the plug-in.
