Abstract:V diplomskem delu sem proučevala analizo uspešnosti in učinkovitosti podjetij Metal Ravne d.o.o., Acroni d.o.o. in Štore Steel d.o.o. na podlagi računovodskih kazalnikov. Diplomsko delo obravnava finančno-premoženjski položaj, poslovno in denarno uspešnost treh slovenskih železarn.

Title:ANALYSING THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF SLOVENIAN IRONWORKS
Abstract:In my dissertation I was analysing the efficiency and effectiveness of slovenian ironworks (Metal Ravne d.o.o., Acroni d.o.o. and Štore Steel d.o.o.) on the basis of financial indicators. By definition efficiency is a return or benefit that we wish to have with doing a certain activity. It is an external feature which is measured by identifying what do we achive with the effects according to inputs. Being efficient means doing the right things. Effectiveness is an internal feature of a company that finishes the required task in a given time. Being effective means doing things right. Knowledge of the efficiency and effectivenes is very important because it shows how efficient and effective a company is. Based on the indicators, company can quickly and easily be compared with others, competitive companies. Balance sheet and statement of business outcome are crucial to calculate these indicators. My dissertation deals with the financial-economic situation, business and financial efficiency of three slovenian ironworks. In my work I presented all three companies and studied their financial statements to determine which of them is more efficient and effective. With this analysis i found out that the most successful company is Acroni. Metal Ravne is the most effective and has the most diverse offer.
