Abstract:Diplomska naloga, na podlagi strokovne literature, knjig, revij, člankov in internetnih virov, vsebuje vse vidike priprave lutkovne predstave za otroke in opredeljuje razlike med dramsko in lutkovno igro ter med dramskim igralcem in lutko. Pojasnila bom pomen sodelovanja med člani-ustvarjalci, pripravo/izbor teksta, izdelavo scene, izdelavo ročnih in senčnih lutk ter ustvarjanje glasbe za lutkovno predstavo. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena lutka in lutkovna igra, uprizoritev lutkovne igre za otroke ter izbor teksta, scene in lutk za lutkovno uprizoritev. Strokovni delavci se večkrat srečujemo s problemom kako pripraviti kvalitetno lutkovno predstavo za otroke z jasnim izraznim sporočilom. Tako se teoretični del prevesi v praktičnega, v katerem sem opredelila pomen projekta, namen lutkovne predstave za otroke — Majhen, pa kaj. Predstavila sem vidike praktične izdelave teksta, lutk, scene, glasbe in osvetlitve ter uporaba le-teh v sami lutkovni predstavi. Z lutkovno predstavo Majhen, pa kaj sem želela pri otrocih doseči doživljanje umetnosti kot del kulturne vzgoje, jim ponuditi nove izkušnje in jih seznaniti z različnimi lutkovnimi tehnikami.

Title:THE MAKING OF A PUPPET SHOW FOR CHILDREN - I AM SMALL, SO WHAT
Abstract:The diploma paper comprises all aspects of preparing a puppet show for children based on literature found in books, magazines, articles and Internet sources, and defines the differences between a drama and a puppet play, and a drama actor and a puppet. The meaning of a cooperation with participating creators, preparation/selection of the text, making the scene, hand and shadow puppets and making music for a puppet show is going to be explained. In the theoretical part, a puppet and a puppet play, a performance of a puppet play, puppet plays for children, and the selection of text, scene and puppets for a puppet show are presented. Professional workers are often met with a problem – how to prepare a qualitative puppet show for children which also has a clear message. Here, the theoretical part ends and the practical one begins, in which I have defined the meaning of the project, the aim of the puppet show for children – I am Small, So What. I have shown the aspects of a practical making of the text, puppets, scene, music, lighting and the use of all this in the actual puppet show. The puppet show I am Small, So What was intended for children, for them to try and experience art as a part of a cultural education, to offer them new experiences and introduce them various puppet techniques.
