Title:IZOLACIJA FENOLOV IN TANINOV IZ LUBJA BREZE

Abstract:Poznamo veliko antioksidantov, ki se delijo v podskupine. Med njimi so tudi fenoli in tanini. Najdemo jih predvsem v kraljestvu rastlin. Največ jih najdemo v golosemenkah in kritosemenkah, glede na del rastline pa v vakuolah in v površinskem vosku rastlin. V diplomski nalogi smo s pomočjo konvencionalne ekstrakcije in ekstrakcije s Soxhlet aparaturo pripravili ekstrakte v katerih smo določili celokupne fenole in celokupne tanine. Pri konvencionalni ekstrakciji smo uporabili 100 % in 60 % vodno mešanico acetona, metanola ali etanola. Ekstrahirali smo 2 uri ob neprekinjenem mešanju pri različnih temperaturah (25 °C, 40 °C in 80 °C) v dveh stopnjah. Prav tako smo izvajali ekstrakcijo s Soxhlet aparaturo, kjer je ekstrakcija s čistim etanolom, metanolom in acetonom potekala pri temperaturi, pri kateri topilo uparja in se nato kondenzira v hladilniku. V pripravljenih ekstraktih smo določali koncentracije celokupnih fenolov in celokupnih taninov s spektrometričnimi metodami. Rezultate smo podali na gram ekstrakta in na gram materiala.

Title:ISOLATION OF PHENOLS AND TANNINS FROM THE BIRCH BARK
Abstract:Many antioxidants are known and they are divided into subgroups. Phenols and tannins are also among them. Tannins and phenolic coumpounds are found in kingdom of plants. Most of them are found in gymnosperms and angiosperms. According to the part of a plant we also find them in vacuoles and in surface wax of plants. In present diploma work conventional extractions and extractions with Soxhlet apparatus were used for preparation of extracts in which total phenols and total tannins were determined. For conventional extraction 100 % and 60 % water mixtures of acetone, methanol or ethanol were used. Extractions were performed for two hours with constantg mixing at different temperatures (25 °C, 40 °C and 80 °C) in two steps. Extraction with Soxhlet apparatus was also performed with pure ethanol, methanol and acetone at operating temperature, at which solvent eveporates and then consdenses in a refridgerator. Concentrations of total phenols and total tannins in obtained extracts were determined by spectrophotometer. The results were presented per gram of extract and per gram of material.
