Abstract: | In its theoretical part, the diploma thesis, entitled Pupil with Dyslexia in elementary school, presents children with learning disabilities and also learning difficulties in general. In addition, it draws attentions to several other issues. Firstly, it presents how reading and writing disorders can be recognised, and which signs point to dyslexia. Secondly, it points out to the help and exercises which parents or professionals on dyslexia can provide for a child with dyslexia. Particularly dyslexia is exposed like a disability.
The practical part, which includes a demonstration of operative work with a pupil who experiences a severe reading and writing disorder, presents the documentation of the pupil and the placement procedure with a delivery of the decision. I have given the pupil dictations for children with dyslexia, carried out a test of auditory discrimination, phonemic awareness, reading and writing disorders, as well as an analysis of her reading comprehension. |
