Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil prikazati najpogostejše funkcionalne motnje v prvem letu otrokovega življenja, kjer sta rast in razvoj najhitrejša. Rezultati ankete so pokazali najpogostejše funkcionalne motnje v prvem letu otrokovega življenja, kjer sta rast in razvoj najhitrejša.

Title:FUNCTIONAL BOWEL DISORDERS IN INFANTS AND HEALTH PROMOTION AMONG PARENTS BY COMMUNITY NURSE
Abstract:The purpose of this diploma work was to describe the most common functional obstructions in the first year of child’s life, the stage of their fastest growth and progress. Child’s nutrition is very important in this stage of life, therefore parents are very distressed in case of problems and are seeking consultation with community nurse and paediatric doctor, gastroenterologist. Designed standards for nursing interventions and nursing diagnoses build foundation for the part of nursing care, which is in the responsibility of a nurse and relates to functional obstructions of digestive system. This level of work requires from community nurse to have observational and communicational skills together with the ability to analysis and interpret the data. Survey results conducted most frequent functional obstructions in the first year of child’s life. Community nurse expressed to be almost always available to parents and they evaluated their provision of information to parents as sufficient. They also found their knowledge as adequate to advice parents. Nevertheless, majority of them supported additional educational opportunities. Community nurses conducted that parents need most advice about child’s nutrition and recognition of child’s pain. Community nurses encourage parents to visit a doctor, unfortunately feedback information from parents if doctor was actually visited and about the diagnosis and doctor’s instructions are scarce. In this regard, cooperation between parents and community nurse should be strengthen. Community nursing care, on primary health care level, acts as one of the general nursing care areas.
