Otroci so obiskovali OŠ Franca Rozmana - Staneta, OŠ Toneta Čufarja, OŠ Gustava Šiliha (Laporje), OŠ Cirkulane-Zavrč, OŠ Hajdina, OŠ Markovci in OŠ Šmarje pri Jelšah. Športno dejavnost otrok in odnose z vrstniki smo ugotavljali z anketnim vprašalnikom, ki so ga otroci sami izpolnili. Za ugotavljanje odnosov med vrstniki je bil uporabljen Kindlov vprašalnik Quality of Life Questionnaire for Children.

Title:PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF CHILDREN AND RELATIONS WITH PEERS
Abstract:The purpose of this diploma paper is to research a connection between sports activity and relations among the nine to eleven-year-old children. The research was made on the model of 453 children of the second triennium, among them 233 girls and 220 boys. The children attended the following primary schools: “Franc Rozman - Stane” and “Tone Čufar” in Maribor, “Gustav Šilih” in Laporje, “Cirkulane-Zavrč”, “Hajdina”, “Markovci” and “Šmarje pri Jelšah”. The children’s sports activity and relations among them were assessed by a questionnaire the children had to fill in. Kindl’s Quality of Life Questionnaire for Children was used for determining relations among the children of the same age. On the basis of the gained data which were processed by SPSS for Windows, the children were divided into three groups: in the first group were low sports-active children (up to 30 minutes), in the second group medium active children (from 31 to 60 minutes) and in the third group very active children. Differences in relations among children of the same age in groups of differently active children were determined by the variance analysis (ANOVA) whereby we were finding the statistical characteristics of differences at the level of risk p≤0,05. Accuracy of results was achieved by the Scheffe method Post-hoc test. The results show that the sports activity and relations among boys and girls of the same age are connected. The statistically characteristic differences in relations among children of the same age have been found in groups of the low, medium and very sports-active children. Such differences also appear in groups of the variously sports-active children in periods of time they intend for a play with friends. Statistically important differences among children – boys and girls of the second triennium who are low sports-active, medium active and very active – were noticed in popularity of the children of the same age. Children who are very sports-active spend more time playing with the children of the same age than those who are low sports-active. Very sports-active children are more popular and have better and more quality relations with the children of the same age.
