Abstract:Diplomsko delo prikazuje poznavanje zdravil med medicinskimi sestrami. Glede učinkovin so dobro poučene.

Title:KNOWLEDGE OF DROGE USE AMONG NURSES
Abstract:The diploma work represents a knowledge of medicines among nurses. With a help of domestic and foreign literature we have introduced in the middle part of diploma work what are medicines and kinds of medicines. We have shortly described the basic groups of medicines and the ways of applying medicines that nurses use at their work. At the end of theoretical work we have described a role of the nurse by applying medicines, we have introduced procedures which a nurse must take into consideration before, at and after the application of medicine. We have been acquainted with secondary effects of medicines, about reciprocal effects of medicines and also about a calculation of a flow of infusion solution and doses of medicines. In empirical part the research was run in the General Hospital Murska Sobota at internal and surgical department. We were interested in the amount of knowledge of medicines by nurses. Do they know the effects of medicines, secondary effects of medicines and how would they react at particular emergencies. We have found out that nurses are in 60% well acquainted with medicines but they are not so well informed about novelties in this field. They want additional education and attending some organised lectures. They are well educated about effectiveness of medicines. We have checked the knowledge with one of the easiest examples on which 88% of nurses answered with the right answers. They know very well also secondary effects. On some ethical questions, eg. if a nurse can set a canal in a particular emergencies; they answered yes by 82% of inquirers. 76% of inquirers think that a nurse must not apply medicine in some particular emergencies. The most of those inquirers would not apply some particular medicines in a case of emergency.
