Abstract:
Cilj naše raziskave je bila analiza opazovanj sesnih pujskov in določitev preferenčnosti sesnega para z matematičnimi enačbami za stabilnost izbire sesnega para. Poskus smo opravljali v Raziskovalnem in pedagoškem centeru za rejo prašičev na Univerzitetnem kmetijskem centru Fakultete za kmetijstvo in biosistemske vede, med leti 2004 in 2008. V preučevanju je bilo obravnavanih skupno 16 svinj, od tega 2 krškopoljski (KP), 7 križank linije 12 (ŠLxLW) in 7 svinj pasme ŠL (Švedski landrace). V celotni raziskavi je bilo analizirano obnašanje 134 sesnih pujskov v času 29. dnevne laktacije. Od tega je bilo 56 pujskov analiziranih s posnetkov in 78 pujskov je bilo osebno opazovanih v porodnem boksu. Vsakega posameznega pujska smo individualno preučevali v času sesanja, na katerem sesku oziroma sesnem paru se nahaja. Sesni pari so bili označeni s števili od 1 do 8, od sprednjega do zadnjega dela mamalnega kompleksa. Pri analizi smo uporabljali enačbi za stabilnost sesnega reda po Puppe in Tuchscherer (1999) in po drugi enačbi povzeti po Skoku (2004). Iz rezultatov je razvidno, da je stabilnost sesnega reda največja na sprednjem in zadnjem delu mamalnega kompleksa.

Comparison of equations for the calculation of teat order stability of suckling piglets
Abstract:
The aim of the study was to analyse the results of the observations of sucking piglets behaviour and the determination of teat order preference using the equations for calculating teat order stability. The observations were carried out in the Pig Breeding Research and Training Center at the University Agricultural Center of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences in the period from 2004 to 2008. A total of 16 sows were included in the experiment, out of which 2 Krškopolje sows (KS), 7 cross bred line 12 (SLxLW) and 7 Swedish Landrace sows (SL). In our study we analysed the behaviour of 134 sucking piglets in the period from the 29th lactation day. Out of these 56 piglets were analysed on the basis of video recordings and 78 on the basis of our observations of piglets behaviour in their farrowing pens. Each individual piglet was observed at the time of sucking and the sucked teats or teat pairs were recorded. The teat pairs were marked with numbers 1 to 8, from the anterior to the postanterior part of the mammal complex. For the analyses of the results of our observations the Puppe and Tuchscherer (1999) equation and the equation according to Skok (2004) were applied. The obtained results show that the stability of teat order is the highest at the anterior and postanterior part of the mammal complex.
