Title:Sistemski pristop k oblikovanju modela razvoja kariere revizorjev informacijskih sistemov

Abstract:Doktorska disertacija obravnava sistemski pristop k razvoju kariere revizorjev informacijskih sistemov (IS). V ta namen je bil razvit model razvoja kariere revizorjev informacijskih sistemov in znotraj tega večparametrski hierarhični model za evalvacijo in samoevalvacijo razvoja revizorja. V izhodišču disertacije je kot prvo prikazana revizijska služba, razvoj kadrovskih virov v revizijski službi ter specifika razvoja kariere revizorjev informacijskih sistemov. Nato pa so prikazane osnove večparametrskega ocenjevanja, faze odločitvenega postopka, ekspertni sistemi ter računalniški program za večparametrsko odločanje Dexi. Osrednji prispevek predstavlja razvoj večparametrskega hierarhičnega modela za ocenjevanje revizorjev IS. Ta ocena predstavlja skupaj s potrebami razvoja posameznika in podjetja ključni element načrtovanja njihove kariere. Model sestavljajo kriteriji, ki so bili identificirani, izbrani in hierarhično urejeni s pomočjo strokovne javnosti, to je revizorjev informacijskih sistemov in vodij revizijskih služb. Model je osnovan tako na lastnostih revizorjev IS kot na lastnostih njihovega delovnega okolja. Evalvacijo in verifikacijo modela v revizijski praksi smo izvedli v okviru revizorjev IS in vodij revizijskih služb iz Slovenije. Model nudi podporo pri iskanju njihove optimalne karierne poti in doseganju višje kakovosti in učinkovitosti revizorjev IS in revizijske službe kot celote. Bistvo modela je, da vključuje uporabo sodobnih informacijskih metod, s posebnim poudarkom na metodah umetne inteligence v postopkih ocenjevanja, ki omogočajo transparentnost in razlago. V disertaciji je prikazano, kako lahko z ekspertnim modeliranjem kot metodo in tehniko za reševanje večparametrskih odločitvenih problemov podpremo in izboljšamo proces ocenjevanja karierne poti revizorjev IS. Model je uporaben tako za samoevalvacijo kot evalvacijo revizorjev IS s strani vodij revizijskih služb. Revizorji IS tako lahko v večji meri izkoristijo dane karierne priložnosti in uspešneje razvijajo svojo kariero.

Title:Systems approach to the development of model for career development of information system auditors
Abstract:This doctoral dissertation deals with a systems approach to the career development of information system (IS) auditors. To this end, a model was developed with a special emphasis on a hierarchical multi-attribute model for assessment and self-assessment of IS auditors. The dissertation starts by first presenting the auditing department, the development of human resources in the auditing department, and the specific features of career development for IS auditors. Following this, it presents the basics of multi-attribute assessment, phases in the decision-making process, expert systems, and the DEXi computer program for multi-attribute decision-making. The main contribution is the development of a hierarchical multi-attribute model for assessing IS auditors. Together with the need to develop individuals and the company, this assessment represents a key element in planning auditors’ careers. The model is comprised of criteria that were identified, selected, and hierarchically arranged with the help of the professional community; that is, IS auditors and auditing department managers. The model is thus based on both the qualities of IS auditors and the qualities of their work environments. Evaluation and verification of the model in auditing practice was carried out using IS auditors and managers of auditing departments in Slovenia. The model offers support for auditors in seeking their optimal career paths and achieving higher quality and effectiveness of IS auditors and auditing departments as a whole. The essence of the model is that it includes the use of modern IT methods with a special emphasis on using artificial intelligence in assessment procedures, enabling transparency and interpretation. The dissertation shows how the use of expert modeling as a method and technique for solving multi-attribute decision-making problems can support and improve the process of assessing IS auditors’ career paths. The model is applicable for both self-assessment of IS auditors as well as their assessment by managers of auditing departments. IS auditors can thus better use the career opportunities offered to them and develop their careers more successfully.
