Avtorji največkrat uporabljajo razlago, pripovedovanje in obveščanje.

Title:TEXTUALITY OF THE BLOGS
Abstract:The computer-based communication is a special way of the interpersonal communication that involves an increasing number of users. This kind of communication demands the usage of computers that are incorporated into the world-wide web. Including Slovenia, the writing of blogs, also known as on-line diaries, is highly modern and famous. The texts in these blogs are interesting to read and at the same time difficult to analyze. This is the reason that nobody has tried to analyze them preciously so far. My thesis deals with those Slovenian blogs that can be found in the category of the most favourite ones. In analyzing them, I have mainly been interested in their textuality. I have used a descriptive, an analytical, a synthetic, a comparative, as well as a statistical method during my research work. Most blogs deal with the authors’ personal matters; they are the so-called self-referential texts where the authors express their personal views about a certain topic or they tell us about the every-day events in the authors’ lives. With their specific form, most blogs resemble a classical narrative. The identity of most bloggers is hidden behind the pseudonyms. The texts are usually short; the predominating introductory function intertwines with the explicit, the influential and the interpersonal functions. Analyzing some texts, I have realized that most of them are neither formal nor works of art, but they are mainly used for practical communicative purposes. The characteristics of written and spoken language can be found in them. The typical characteristics are the usage of spoken language, even slang, and the usage of some foreign, usually English, expressions in a Slovene context. Another characteristic is the economy of the language use in the computer-based communication. Many authors tent to use several non-verbal forms of communication, such as the photographs, the non-standard spelling or punctuation, and the so-called emoticons which are used for expressing the emotions. Just like in the other forms of texts, the styles of presenting a certain theme in a blog intertwine. Usually, the authors use the explanation, the narration and the information. Most of the bloggers divide their texts into paragraphs. Nevertheless, the majority of blogs are not divided into the introduction, the body and the conclusion. The main purposes of the bloggers are to appeal to the readers, to involve them into communication, to connect the bloggers and their readers. The bloggers have also got certain evaluating purposes, but not executive or obligatory ones. In my thesis, I also deal with the grammar and the register in the Slovenian blogs. I have found out that the use of compound, mostly subordinate clauses, prevails over the simple sentence structures. I believe that the self-reference is the most important characteristic of the analyzed blogs.
