Abstract:Organizacije se vedno bolj zavedajo, da so zaposleni njihova konkurenčna prednost, zato se trudijo, nuditi svojim zaposlenim možnost razvoja kariere ter ustrezno dodatno izobraževanje. Vsak posameznik naj bi sam poskrbel za svojo kariero; kar pa ni najbolj optimalno, če pri tem aktivno ne sodeluje tudi organizacija, v kateri je posameznik zaposlen. Prav tako se zavedajo pomena zadovoljstva zaposlenih ter jim nudijo možnost izobraževanja v okviru organizacije. S tem pa preprečujejo odhod kadrov, ki jih organizacija potrebuje, iz organizacije. Diplomska naloga je razdeljena na dva večja sklopa. V teoretičnem delu podrobneje predstavljamo pomembnost kariere in izobraževanja za posameznika in organizacijo, v empiričnem delu diplomske naloge pa raziskujemo stanje v podjetju X. Z analizo ankete želimo ugotoviti stanje na področju izobraževanja in kariernega razvoja v podjetju X, ga analizirati in na osnovi teh informacij podati kritično mnenje, ki bi lahko pripomoglo k izboljšanju trenutnega stanja. Ugotovili smo, da se v podjetju X zavedajo pomena izobraževanja in razvoja kadrov, saj imajo za zaposlene pripravljene osebne plane razvoja in z njimi opravljajo redne razgovore glede novih ciljev in napredovanja v okviru podjetja. Hkrati (po drugi strani) je raziskava pokazala, da niso vsi zaposleni povsem zadovoljni z izbiro izobraževanj in načinom določanja udeležencev izobraževanj ter višino dodeljenih sredstev. Poleg tega je raziskava pokazala, da je polovica anketirancev pripravljena oditi v drugo podjetje, kjer bi lahko uresničili karierne cilje.

Title:EDUCATION AND CAREER IN THE COMPANY X
Abstract:Organizations are more and more aware of the fact that their employees are their competitive advantage, so they try to offer them possibilities of career development and proper additional education. Each individual should take their career into their own hands, though this may not be optimal when the employer organization does not play an active role. Even further, many organizations are aware of the importance of employee satisfaction, so they tend to offer additional education inside the organization. By this, the organizations prevent the loss of quality employees they need to function properly. This diploma paper is divided into two major parts. In the theoretical part we are presenting the importance of a career and further education for both the individual and the organization, and in the empirical part, we are exploring the current situation regarding these two issues in company X. By analyzing the answers to the questionnaire we would like to determine the current status of career development and education in company X, analyze the situation and based on this give an objective opinion that would contribute to improvements. We have established that company X is aware of the importance of career development and education because the company has a developed system of career planning and regularly conducts employee interviews regarding new personal goals and advancing in the organization itself. On the other hand the research shows that not all employees are satisfied with the choice of educational themes and participants, and also the amount of investment granted for the purpose. The research has shown that half of the people answering our questionnaire is willing to leave the company for another company where they would be able to achieve their career goals.
