Title:ABORTION
Abstract:Induced termination of pregnancy is a delicate subject that is a cause of controversy all over the world. Historically, it is not quite clear how often the ethical repercussions of induced termination of pregnancy were discussed; however, its legal status did not begin to be determined until the 18th century. Today, induced termination of pregnancy is a medically and socially unwanted measure for birth management and is considered to be merely a last resort. Despite all modern contraception methods and their high level of accessibility, and greater education, there are still numerous girls and women who perceive their pregnancy as unwanted due to various reasons. Induced termination of pregnancy remains the only measure for the prevention of birth after conception. When forming an opinion and passing judgment, it is important to be well informed because this enables us to have a more objective and a more critical view regarding induced termination of pregnancy, and an insight into the opposing view helps us have more tolerance towards it. Views regarding induced termination of pregnancy are based on the consideration of various values which are often connected to the moral judgment of women who are prepared to go against these values due to more or less selfish reasons.
