Below, we spoke about to tackle teacher stress in the context of CINDI Slovenia.
On theoretical starting points are the survey that we performed at basic schools in the municipality of Slovenian Bistrica, attempt to determine the current state of stress among teachers who teach in these schools. We found that teachers who participated in the study, under stress. The most common sign of stress in their fatigue (physical character), followed by concern and agitation (signs of stress perception). Of their level of stress and various factors. Teachers indicate “problem students” and “backlog” as the strongest factor for the emergence of stress, as the strongest group of factors and »relations with colleagues, leadership«.
The survey results also show the worse teachers faced with stress. Less appropriate technigues to deal with stress (“trying to do it all the work that I ordered”) are to them is the most commonly used. It also said teachers have worse eating and locomotory habits and a number of vices (go to sleep late, watch TV,…).
Proposals for better management of stress among teachers was made on the basis of survey results. They are based on the image of a modern teacher – thinking and innovative expert whose work overgrown daily routine and rigidly prescribed and tracking methods, but it is also necessary to care for his personal and professional growth.|
