Title:MENTALLY DISTURBED OFFENDERS OF CRIME
Abstract:I have introduce in this diploma assignment the problematic issue of mental health in the World, in Slovenia and in general, from a legal point of view and from the standpoint of everday life. The concept of mental health is not just a concept of modern life, it is an ancient concept such as humanity itself. Mental health defines one's inner psychological state (such as happines, personal satisfaction, feeling good...), relations with other people and how mankind operates (understanding differences, work success, success at school...). Mental health is also man's ability to control his or her life and to successfully face up to different life circumstances, jobs, burdens and troubles.Psychiatry defines concepts such as mental health, mental disturbance and mental illness but those concepts are also important in the law, as they are often used in the legal profession. In Slovenia the new law abaut mental health has just become vaild and this is progressing in the department of mental health. Nevertheless Slovenia definitely needed special legal organization for discussed area. Also let us not forget a number of organizations that are "fighting" for improvement of mental health circumstances and are working for the individual rights of people with mental problems.Althrough a lot has been done in the past few jears for the people with mental health difficulties, the work is not finished jet.
Keywords:Mental health, mental disturbance, mental illness.
