Abstract:Ženske so bile s stereotipno vlogo v družbi zaznamovane skozi celotno zgodovino.

Title:DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GENDERS AND THEIR INFLUENCES ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Abstract:Throughout history, women have been marked with a stereotypical image. During the Second World War they started, due to the lack of men who fought on the fields of battle, to take on men’s jobs. Despite the fact that nowadays a woman can choose to be educated and build her own career, her primary roles are still considered to be housekeeping, taking care of her husband and children. In the 90s of the twentieth century, stereotypes about woman’s role started to change. Women chose entrepreneurship as a type of their careers. Although companies run by women show the same results as companies run by men, women entrepreneurs still find it hard to start this form of business. Therefore, there have been some organizations formed that encourage female entrepreneurship. Unfortunately, not many women want to do men’s jobs. But those who do, are getting to know advantages such as flexibility and freedom of choice when it comes to retain compatibility with family, home and career. When a woman entrepreneur succeeds this boosts her confidence and she sets an example worth looking up to. In my diploma thesis, I have carried out a survey of men and women entrepreneurs. I have come to the conclusion that people surveyed mostly believe that entrepreneurship is a choice one wants. It is a choice easy neither for a man or a woman. Surprisingly, women also share this opinion.
