ABA, TEACCH, PECS, Floor Time idr.
Keywords:avtizem, motnja v duševnem razvoju, adolescenca, Aspergerjev sindrom, Rettov sindrom, interdisciplinarna obravnava.

Title:AUTISM WITH ADDITIONAL INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY IN ADOLESCENTS IN THE INSTITUTION ZUDV DR. MARIJANA BORŠTNERJA DORNAVA
Abstract:Experts regard child autism today as a developmental neurological disorder, which manifests in verbal and nonverbal communication, typical behaviour disorders and abnormal emotional and social responsiveness. Experts diagnose the child according to typical psychological symptoms in the third year of life the latest. There are more than a few ten typical signs which can be combined with each other differently. At the time of the child's development, some disappear; some new ones or different ones may appear. In general the belief remains that autism is a lifelong disorder. One symptom does not mean autism, but the more signs the child has, the harder life is for him, his family and the environment in which he moves. Autism in practice is divided into mild and profound forms. In mild forms an early special-educational approach is meaningful with currently known methods, like ABA, TEACCH, PECS, Floor Time, etc. In profound forms with severe hyperactivity, aggression, decreased concentration ability, poor guidance, speech disorders, sleep disorders or even seizures an integrated modern biochemical medical treatment has proved effective. Thus, experts treat patients highly individual, with laboratory analysis and periodic controls of performance as well as study and research. In the thesis two individuals from the Institution Dornava are described, who are included in the group of six adolescents with autistic disorders and an additional mental disorder, and received interdisciplinary treatment.
Keywords:autism, intellectual disability, adolescence, Asperger syndrome, Rett syndrome, interdisciplinary treatment.
