Najpogostejši obiskovalci so bile majhne mušice.

Title:Analisys of pollination relationships and germination of Christmas rose pollen
Abstract:The research was done on Christmas rose (Helleborus niger L.) and constitutes of two parts; in first we documented and analysed main natural pollinators of the flower in its natural environment and in second we analysed the pollen germination. The research was focused on five groups of insects: bees, bumblebees and wasps, large dipterous insects, small dipterous flies and other pollinators of minor importance. Systematic observation was performed in march 2009 in Žiče pri Slovenskih Konjicah. Pollination analysis with regard to frequency of insect visits indicate that visit frequency is strongly dependant on time of the day. The most frequent visitors were small dipterous flies. Our observations indicate that the Christmas rose is a cross-pollinating species and endomophylous. In pollen viability we examined the optimal conditions for pollen storation. We examined the pollen viability with in vitro germination technique. Pollen germinated better on a media with a higher pH and a lower concentration of sugar. The viability of pollen was preserved even after 5 months if kept on a temperature of -75 degrees Celsium.
