Abstract:Zagotavljanje zadostne ravni kakovosti storitev postaja ključnega pomena. Obe rešitvi imata svoje dobre in slabe strani.

Title:MODEL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF SERVERS FOR THE NEEOS OF THE ZZZS
Abstract:Maintaining high quality level of services has become one of the key performance indicators. Depending on the environment, the quality of services has direct or indirect influence on the financial sources. The aim of the diploma work is to check whether it is possible to organize the server sources in the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia in such way that users would find it acceptable, while costs i.e. management, control&operation would be kept as low as possible. Wide area network that connects servers has strong influence on the system operation and the way user experience the program. The Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia has many branch offices which makes maintenance of servers very difficult and influences the costs as well as quality of the services. Furthermore servers on the distant locations are at the end of their operating life which means that changes are urgent. One basic question has to be answered before changes take place: whether to centralize the servers or just replace them? Both solutions have pluses and minuses. The Diploma work shows that replacement of the serves is currently the best solution, as far as the costs are considered, while centralization of servers might bring a lot of benefits in the future, but only if the prices of telecommunication services would considerably drop, which can be expected with introduction of broad-band technology all over Slovenia.
