Title:SINTEZA IN LASTNOSTI MAGNETNIH TEKOČIN NA OSNOVI MAGNETITA - Fe 3 O 4

Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil sintetizirati ustrezno magnetno tekočino za uporabo v magnetni hipertermiji na osnovi magnetita (Fe3O4), v obliki palčk, oblečenega s CM — dekstranom v vodi kot nosilni raztopini. S pomočjo rentgenske praškovne difrakcije (XRD) smo ocenili velikost nanodelcev magnetita in kvalitativno karakterizirali vzorce. Morfologijo nanodelcev smo preučevali s transmisijskim elektronskim mikroskopom (TEM). Fizikalne lastnosti vzorcev, ki so bili izpostavljeni kontroliranemu programu segrevanja, smo dobili s pomočjo termogravimetrične analize (TGA). Magnetne meritve so bile izvedene z DSM — 10 magnetometrom. Izvedli smo tudi kalorimetrične meritve za magnetne tekočine. Rezultati so pokazali, da čas sintetiziranja vpliva na obliko in velikost neoblečenih delcev in oblečenih delcev s CM — dekstranom. Daljši je čas sintetiziranja, večje in bolj kristalinične nanodelce dobimo. Morfologija nanodelcev posneta s pomočjo TEM, nam kaže paličasto obliko delcev. Magnetne meritve so pokazale ozko histerezno krivuljo s Hc= 31,6 A/m, Mmax= 92,1 Am2/kg in MR= 2,21 Am2/kg.

Title:SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF MAGNETIC FLUIDS BASED ON MAGNETITE - Fe 3 O 4
Abstract:The purpose of this work was to synthesise the appropriate magnetic fluid for use in magnetic hyperthermia on the basis of magnetite (Fe3O4), in the form of rods, coated with CM - dextran in water as the carrier liquid. The size of magnetite nanoparticles was estimated by scherrer equation. Samples were characterized with XRD analysis. The morphology of nanoparticles was studied with transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Physical properties of the samples followed with controlled heating program, were measured with termogravimetric analysis (TGA). Magnetic measurements were carried out by DSM - 10 magnetometer. Calorimetric measurements were performed for the magnetic fluid also. The results showed that the synthesis time influenced the shape and size of uncoated particles and particles coated with CM - dextran. The longer the time of synthesis was, the larger and more crystalline nanoparticles were obtained. Morphology of nanoparticles recorded with the help of TEM showed rod - like particles. Magnetic measurements showed a narrow hysteresis curve with Hc= 31,6 A/m, Mmax= 92,1 Am2/kg and MR= 2,21 Am2/kg.
